This section will show you where to find each revelation, the picture you need in order to have to revelation, the correct button(s) you need to press in the QTE, and the correct response in order to succeed. Once you obtain the necessary picture, you simply need to interact with the revelation trigger to start the event and get the chance to learn a new heat action. When you successfully have a revelation, the learned heat action is indicated on the abilities completion section.

If you interact with the revelation trigger before obtaining the picture, nothing will happen.

Though there are many revelations which require a picture, there are 10 revelations in this game which can be obtained without the need for a picture. See the table for details. These revelations include the ones you gain from watching Komaki in the Gion Martial Arts Dojo training. In those sessions Kiryu will have a revelation and write something on some paper after seeing Komaki perform a technique. The revelations you obtain through mental training (melon cutting) also don't require a picture.

Pictureless Revelations

Below you will find details for all the picture-related revelations. This includes the name of the heat action you learn, the time and location when/where you can learn it, a map showing the exact location, the picture you need, the button(s) for the QTE, and the correct response (correct option is highlighted in green). These are listed in the order in which you can obtain them (the same order found on the revelations section on the important facilities page of this guide). Note that some of the pictures can only be obtained when Kiryu is a certain level, so you may not necessarily be able to obtain them all in this order (i.e. you may not be at the right level to receive the picture at that point in the game on a first play through). Note that some of the revelations are time-restricted (e.g. can only be done during the day or night time). Also, watch out because some of the button prompts in the QTEs have a very short window in which to press it.

If you fail a revelation, whether because you messed up the QTE or selected the wrong option, you will need to leave the area and return again in order to have another chance. Don't worry - you can keep trying an unlimited number of times until you get it.
